IaaS offers access to a resource pool of fundamental computing infrastructure – compute, network, and storage – delivered over the internet. Software as a Service (SaaS)

According to NIST, SaaS provides users the ability to use applications without managing the underlying infrastructure, including networks, servers, or operating systems. How cloud computing reshapes targeted advertising

Before cloud computing, running a large-scale advertising campaign required significant IT infrastructure, long setup times, and heavy upfront investment. Cloud changed all of that. Within minutes, any digital marketing company can now access a powerful array of tools that boost efficiency, allowing teams to invest more time in strategy and client satisfaction rather than server maintenance.

For advertisers, this means cloud infrastructure does much of the compliance heavy lifting – offering encryption, access controls, audit logs, and breach notification tools that help teams meet legal requirements without building those systems from scratch.

Cost effectiveness, productivity, and BYOD collaboration

One of the most practical advantages of cloud computing for advertising teams is cost. Rather than investing heavily in on-site servers and licensed software, agencies pay for cloud resources on a subscription or usage basis. This is particularly valuable for smaller agencies and startups that need enterprise-grade tools without enterprise-level budgets.

Productivity also benefits significantly. Cloud service providers offer regular automatic updates, so teams do not need to worry about platforms performing at suboptimal levels. Systems stay current without requiring IT teams to manually install patches or upgrades. Downtime is minimized, and teams always work with the latest tools.
